WE’RE HIRING!

Associate Family Minister

Our church is seeking a spiritually mature, servant-hearted minister to help shepherd and strengthen our congregation through discipleship, family ministry, volunteer development, and ministry coordination. This role is intentionally flexible. We desire to identify and develop the strengths God brings to our church through the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will cultivate healthy relationships, equip volunteers, disciple young people and families, and assist in the church’s overall pastoral ministry. We are seeking a shepherd, teacher, and team-builder who loves people and desires to help the church grow in spiritual maturity and unity.

Who We Are

At Driftwood, we are a church family centered on Jesus. Our mission is simple but profound: To lead people to a life-changing connection with Jesus Christ.

We strive to be a Biblically-functioning community of believers growing:

  • Deeper through worship
  • Larger through evangelism
  • Stronger through discipleship
  • Warmer through fellowship
  • Broader through ministry

We value authentic worship, the life-changing truth of Scripture, and compassionate, unified service. We are looking for a leader who is ready to give their best to God and help us build healthy, God-honoring relationships as we pursue a life of full devotion to Christ.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a spiritually mature, servant-hearted shepherd to disciple young people, equip families, and strengthen our congregation as a whole. This role features intentional flexibility—we actively seek to shape specific responsibilities around the unique gifts, passions, and strengths God gives to the right candidate.

Core Responsibilities

  • Family & Youth Discipleship: Build relational pathways to mentor students, equip parents, and foster meaningful intergenerational connection across the church body.
  • Teaching & Pastoral Care: Teach across various settings (small groups, Sunday school, and pulpit supply as needed) while sharing in general pastoral care, visitation, and counseling.
  • Leader Development & Coordination: Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders while smoothing cross-ministry communication and event logistics.
  • Collaborative Shepherding: Serve alongside the elders and senior minister to support the congregation’s overall vision, spiritual health, and unity.

Who You Are

  • Character: Meets biblical leadership qualifications (1 Timothy 3 / Titus 1); demonstrates emotional maturity, humility, and a deep love for the local church.
  • Strengths: A strong relational disciple-maker, a clear communicator of Scripture, and an encouraging team builder. (Worship/musical ability is a welcome bonus).
  • Philosophy: Deeply aligned with our mission to lead people to Jesus and our commitment to the New Testament model of the church.

Compensation & Housing

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Housing: A newly remodeled church parsonage is included in the total compensation package. We just finished updating the home so you and your family can move in without lifting a finger.
